This might be a more talky edition of Radio EdSoft Films than usual. A show called "I Believe Love is Bad" warrants some discussion. For starters, our usual host, Fred, is taking a break, and I'm taking over, at least for this series. I'm Alex by the way, Alex Macintosh.
Also joining me will be, Tim! Tim is an old friend from Oregon, and he's going to help me get a grasp on what I want to say about today's subject. You just heard "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by "The Darkness" and now, "What Is Love?" by Haddaway, with commentary by Tim!

I've seen a lot of things that make me believe that love is not something worth actively pursuing. Too many lives are destroyed on the count of love for me to even attempt to fall into it. The worst part though, is that not loving anyone still makes me feel lonely. It's a catch 22. My brain wants to avoid it, and my heart hates me because of it. Anyway...
You heard "For Your Love" by the Yardbirds, followed by "Prisoner Of Love" by James Brown. This is "Beloved" by Rachel Portman. Next up, "Back To The House That Love Built" by Tito & Tarantula, on Radio EdSoft Films.

88.1 El Cerrito, 97.7 San Pablo. KECG. Radio EdSoft Films. I'd like to point out that this Saturday, February 14th, Valentines day, at 10 PM, Comedy Central will be airing a new stand up special from Christopher Titus called "Love is Evol." It seems Tim and I aren't the only people that feel this way about love. Speaking of, here's some more musings about love from Tim. Take it away Tim!

You heard "You've got to hide your love away" by The Beatles, "Let Love Reign", by "Los Lobos", and this is "The Love You Save (May Be Your Own)" by Joe Tex.
Even without valentines day around the corner, there's always this pressure to be with somebody. Movies, music, poetry, all saturated with love messages.
After listening to this show you might think I'm anti-love. This is not necessarily true. I just think it's better to be alone than to let the drama surrounding most relationships bring you down. Better to be lonely than force yourself to love someone that's wrong for you.
And ultimately, I'm a true sap at heart. I like the lovely tearjerking stuff even if I've never actually been in love, myself. Perhaps even more so. I guess a part of me likes it when love goes right. Love going right, while extremely rare, is something I would like to explore more in the next edition of Radio EdSoft Films, titled "No Wait, Love is Good."
Expect that show to air soon.
Until next time, may the love, you save be your own.
