It's time for Show number 3.

This time the theme is, running.  So I will call it the Running Edition.

Running from what, you might ask?  I have no idea.  The person that can give you the best answer to that question is Y,O,U!  Show number two was too introspective, this time I'm going to put the intellectual spotlight on the audience.

How do you start a show about running?  With a race.  This is "The Last Race" by Jack Nitzsche.

Johnny Depp and Three Dog Night got us in the mood to fly with "Mama Told Me Not To Come."  And Kate Bush got us "Running Up That Hill" to make "A Deal With God."  This amounted to nothing more than a "Little Child Running Wild" by Curtis Mayfield.  Now, "Run Fay Run" by the Late Isaac Hayes, and after that "The Running Wolf" continuing the 1970s exploitation movie thread here on Radio EdSoft Films.  88.1 FM, 97.7 FM.  KECG.  Full playlist on the web at www.edsoftfilms.com/radio.  This is show number 3 - Running Edition.

I've never been the biggest fan of the scores by Hans Zimmer, but occasionally they  do exactly what they're supposed to do.  I red somewhere, once, that the scores of "Batman Begins" and more recently, "The Dark Knight" (out on DVD on December 2nd) were meant to represent the pulse of Gotham City.  I had never thought of that before, but in retrospect it makes perfect sense.

Speaking of Batman, while we all knew he was the best superhero, who knew that he would be the star of the biggest (and best) movie of the summer.  "The Chase" by Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard might as well represent the chase for the number-one grossing film of all time.

Next up, "Don't Run From Fun" by Wynton Marsalis. on Radio EdSoft Films.  88.1 FM, 97.7 FM.  KECG.  Full playlist on the web at www.edsoftfilms.com/radio. This is show number 3 - Running Edition.
